NBC will bring back many award winning shows this fall including The Office, Chuck and 30 Rock. However, some old favorites, such as Heroes and Law and Order, leave some noticeable gaps. NBC will introduce seven new comedies and dramas this fall to round out its schedule and has eight other shows in the works for the mid-season.

- The Apprentice
- Chuck
- The Biggest Loser
- Parenthood
- Who Do You Think You Are?
- Sunday Night Football
- Dateline NBC

- Friday Night Lights

Celebrity Apprentice and Minute to Win It will be back in the schedule in March 2011.
NBC Cancels or Ends Shows at the 2010 Fall Season Gets Underway
After 20 seasons, Law and Order fans learned the show would not be renewed for a 21st. However, NBC does plan to keep Law and Order SVU and will add a new show, Law and Order Los Angeles to the fall line-up. Heroes, which shot to the top of the ratings chart during its first season, limped through its fourth season and was canceled by NBC last May. There was, and continues to be, some speculation that the network would try to bring the series to some sort of conclusion through an extension of several episodes or a mini-series.
Other NBC shows that will not return this fall include:
- Mercy
- Trauma
- Medium
- Life
- Kath and Kim
- My Name is Earl
